2017's Most Expensive Bikes In the World

If there is anything that can be certain with motorcycles with each new year, it's that the price tags get bigger so more digits can fit onto that small piece of paper.

Not that it's a worry for you, dear affluent biker. But in case you're wondering if there's a new toy out there on the road worth the time you waste opening your wallet, here's an updated list of the priciest motorcycles available for purchase.

5. Ducati Desmosedici D16RR NCR M16 ($232,500)


It's Italian, so it's big and it's stunning. It's also one of the most expensive bikes in the world.

You won't complain after all: it's one of the most ideal rides for its type and sure to turn heads. At about 320 pounds (just shy of 150 kgs) this beast was designed with Ducati Testastretta 998R rods titanium engine which gives better ride to its users with almost over 200 horse power. It's also pimped up with Marvic magnesium rims in the front (3×50 x 16.5) and rear (5×50 x 16.5).

If you have a spare million, you can buy four of these and still have some change left to tip the dealer.

4. Ecosse Titanium Series FE Ti XX ($300,000)

Ecosse Moto Works makes the world’s most extraordinary machines. Their exquisite two-wheeled creations are built to the highest standards, using the most exotic materials in never-before-seen designs. The firm already has the honor of being the maker of the world’s most expensive motorcycle series, the Ecosse Titanium Series RR.

It's latest, the Titanium Series FE Ti XX was introduced with its front suspension of Öhlins MotoGP-grade TTX Gas forks. Constructed with unique specifications such as stroke: 4.1875, rake: 25 to 29 degrees; rider preference, rear tire: 120/70ZR17-190/55ZR17, brakes: ISR custom radial brake system, mainframe: titanium and some others, it's value for your wealth.

It also has powerful G-Squared for ECOSSE dual-cam race engine that what make it fastest motor with about 225 horse power.

3. Dodge Tomahawk V10 Superbike ($555,000)

What can you get for half a million dollars?

The Retro-Art Deco design's central visual element is the 500-horsepower (370 kW), 8.3-litre (510 cu in) V10 SRT10 engine from the Dodge Viper.

So that's 10-cylinder 90-degree V-type, liquid-cooled, 505 cubic inches (8277 cc), roller-type hydraulic lifters, maximum 6000 rpm with 500 horsepower engine. Twin 20×4 front rims, twin 20×5 rears, billet aluminium discs, asymmetrical and custom made Dunlop symmetrical tires.

Not too shabby.

Of course there's a Harley in this list and this is also nicknamed the Million Bike as it's the first and only Harley to cost a million dollars. Named and painted by artist Jack Armstrong, the engine was created by legendary designer Bartels.

Yes, the bike’s powerful six cylinder engine and frame give the Harley its value, but this bike really is for the art snob, as the paint features “cosmic existentialism”. Who says bikers don't have refined culture, eh?

Do you have a lot of money? Do you want two wheels and a motor that does your salary justice?

Then only the Ecosse Spirit ES1 is for you. With the collaboration of one American, Don Atchison, and two Brits, Richard Glover and Andy Le Fleming a revolutionary motorcycle was conceived.

Its speed comes from the ultra light aerodynamic design and powerful engine. It is made with a frameless chassis covered in carbon fiber and a luxe leather seat. The driver sits in a position that allows the knees to be close to the body for greater ergonomics and control. It weighs about 265 lbs, and can go around 230 miles per hour. This is a motorcycle that truly performs like a F1 car.
